Mrs Leonard is a client of Carefound Home Care and we love supporting her with live-in care from our York branch. Our local team recently arranged a day trip to Scarborough, which is a great example of the enriching experiences we strive to provide for our clients receiving live-in care.

Mrs Leonard enjoyed a wonderful day out filled with sunshine, good company, and plenty of laughter. She was accompanied by her live-in carer, Emmaculate, and members of our York branch along with some of their family members.

Having picked up Mrs Leonard and her live-in carer, the day started at a local café in Scarborough where they enjoyed coffee. It was a beautiful, sunny morning, and the smiles in the pictures were proof of just how much these kinds of activities matter. From there, they moved on to the beach to take in the lovely views whilst enjoying freshly made doughnuts.

Mrs Leonard particularly enjoyed spending time with the younger members of the group, some of whom she really bonded with, and she watched them on the rides whilst having a well-deserved sit down after walking along the seafront. Moments like these really illustrate the joy and connections that our live-in care clients experience when they’re given the opportunity to get out and about.

Getting our live-in care clients out to enjoy what the local area has to offer isn’t just about having a good time, it’s an essential part of the care we provide. For many people receiving live-in care, social activities and engaging with the world outside their usual surroundings can significantly boost their quality of life.

Our live-in care service is a great care option for older people wishing to remain in the comfort of their own home, with help from a professional carer when they need it. Seeing how much Mrs Leonard enjoyed her trip to Scarborough really shows how locally managed live-in care can improve people’s well-being.
