Every year people across the country take part in the Alzheimer’s Society Memory Walk campaign which involves completing a sponsored walk to unite and raise money to beat dementia. This year, over 110,000 people are taking part with the aim of raising over £9 million for the Alzheimer’s Society.

The local walk in Harrogate is organised by Alison Wrigglesworth of Alzheimer’s Society Harrogate and Andrew Jones MP, in conjunction with Harrogate Borough Council. The Harrogate Memory Walk has been going for 3 years now and has previously raised up to £10,000.

Carefound Home Care was delighted to support this event and help raise awareness of dementia across the Harrogate area. The money raised will help fund research to find a cure for dementia as well as funding services for people living with the condition. You can still donate:

  • online through JustGiving here; or
  • by sending a cheque payable to ‘Alzheimer’s Society’ to Andrew Jones MP, Memory Walk, 57 East Parade, Harrogate, HG1 5LQ including your name and address.
