Jade Farnsworth has progressed her career in care with Carefound Home Care after achieving a Level 5 Diploma with distinction.

After starting off in the hospitality industry, Jade Farnsworth began her career in care as a care assistant in 2018 having decided that she wanted a more meaningful career where she could make a difference to people’s lives every day.
She gradually progressed into more senior roles in social care and joined Carefound Home Care in West Bridgford as a care manager in September 2020.
At Carefound Home Care, Jade has been supported to complete her Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Adult Care which she has recently achieved with distinction. This has enabled her to continue her career progression in social care and become the registered manager of Carefound Home Care’s branch in West Bridgford. The branch was recently rated Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Commenting on her achievement, Jade Farnsworth said:
“Working at Carefound Home Care has not only enabled me to build a career which I enjoy and enables me to make a difference in my local community, but I have also been able to continuously progress and develop my knowledge and expertise.”
“I am very proud to have achieved a distinction in my Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Adult Care. The qualification took 18 months and I was supported to show my learning through different methods such as discussion, observation, written and research study. It has really helped me to look and reflect on how I deal with situations and grow in confidence, such that I felt as prepared as I could be when I was made registered branch manager of our West Bridgford branch.”

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak recently highlighted the need to move people out of hospitals and into social care in the community as one of his top five priorities. The ability of care services to recruit and retain staff will be key to achieving this, including by offering opportunities for career progression in social care like Jade has experienced at Carefound Home Care.
Leonnie Martin, Regional Trainer at Carefound Home Care said:
“It’s always a pleasure as a care educator to be able to witness in person the difference that defined career progression and qualifications make to the professionalism of the industry and raising the profile of social care as a great career choice.”
“Jade has achieved the highest level of the diploma and this is due to her commitment to the adult apprenticeship and dedication to her role. Her achievement also benefits our clients, who are supported by a knowledgeable and qualified team.”
“The adult apprenticeship in health and social care is a work-based practical approach that cements the foundations of education together with the specialisms of the job role. Given the challenges in social care presently, it’s wonderful to see the support Jade has received from Carefound Home Care and hopefully this will act as a beacon to others who may be considering a change of profession. It also highlights the benefits of working for Carefound Home Care in social care who offer a defined career progression journey and investment in our team.”
