Carefound Home Care Team Members Scoop Outstanding Achievement Awards

Two members of the Carefound Home Care team have received Appreciation Awards this month recognising their outstanding contribution to the specialist home care and live-in care service offered by the company.

Lindsey Cooper is a member of the hourly care team at Carefound Home Care where she supports her elderly clients to live safely at home, including those experiencing specialist conditions such asdementia. Lindsey recently helped her client with dementia during a transition from home to residential care where she has continued to provide daily companionship visits. She went to tremendous lengths to ensure that the move was as seamless as possible for her client – this included prompting care staff on important health conditions and themes, reviewing medications, requesting appropriate meals and nutritional routines, arranging for certain TV programmes to be easily available and highlighting key likes / dislikes, interests and good / bad answers to questions. All of this was done in the context of the specialist approach to dementia used by the team – the SPECAL method.

Lorraine Warren, a member of the live-in care team at Carefound Home Care, received recognition for the exceptional support she recently provided to a colleague during a time of need. With only a few hours’ notice late at night she stepped in to provide emergency live-in support to her client which is a couple living with dementia in North Yorkshire. This not only enabled her colleague to return to her own family for the week but also ensured that her clients received genuine continuity of care which is so vital when supporting a condition such as dementia.
