Coffee Morning at Retirement Housing Scheme in Harrogate

Carefound Home Care attended a coffee morning this week at a retirement housing scheme in Harrogate – The Adelphi. The Adelphi is a retirement / sheltered housing property for older people and is situated close to the town centre and local amenities.

Carol Giblin, Community and HR Coordinator at Carefound Home Care, attended the coffee morning which was organised by the residents who live in the retirement properties.

Carol was made welcome by the residents and the facility manager Sharon. Carol commented: “It was lovely to gather together whilst having a coffee and discuss the concerns and barriers the elderly population contend with. We always think of elderly care as being task orientated, however spending time with and chatting to a professional carer was deemed equally important, particularly when it comes to helping alleviate loneliness and isolation.”

Carefound Home Care are delighted to be invited by the residents of The Adelphi to attend another coffee morning they are holding in May 2015 when we look forward to renewing our acquaintance with them.
