An information stand was held this week at the Morrisons store in Wetherby to provide older people and their families with free information regarding support for people living with dementia in the Wetherby and Leeds area and how to access professional care at home.
Carol Giblin, Community and HR Coordinator at Carefound Home Care, spent the day meeting members of the public discussing their own personal experiences and answering questions they had. These covered a huge range of topics such as how to pay for care, how to help a friend or relative with dementia, what type of care at home is available in Wetherby and Leeds, and how to choose a care service.
Carol commented: “As ever, I was delighted to have the opportunity to chat with local families and pass on our knowledge of home care and dementia care support available. In addition to informing elderly people of our award-winning hourly home care and live-in care service at Carefound Home Care, I was able to reference some of the fantastic relationships we have with local charities, health and social care professionals such as Wetherby in Support of the Elderly (WiSE).”
