An Eggstra Special Easter for Local Seniors and their Carers

Over 130 Easter eggs and bunnies have been delivered to local elderly people and their carers by North Yorkshire’s ‘outstanding’ elderly home care provider, Carefound Home Care.

The Harrogate team of Carefound Home Care have been busy celebrating Easter with their elderly clients, taking the time to deliver ‘eggstra’ special treats and enjoy the occasion with them and their families.

Lorna Dawber, Home Care Manager for Carefound Home Care in Harrogate, said:

“Last year we became one of the only home care providers in the country to be rated ‘outstanding’ twice by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and a key area highlighted by the CQC was how we engage with the families we care for, including celebrating important events.”

“As ever, we have thoroughly enjoyed bringing Easter gifts to our elderly clients, their families and the amazing carers across our team.”

“It is also important to remember that the issues of loneliness and a loss of self-worth are ever increasing amongst older people, particularly those who live alone. Taking the time to enjoy special occasions like Easter can really brighten up somebody’s day .”
