Carol Giblin, Community and HR Coordinator at Carefound Home Care, has been busy meeting families and their elderly relatives in Harrogate and Ripon over recent weeks by holding regular Elderly Care and Dementia Awareness Stands in the local community. This has included locations such as Harrogate District Hospital and Sainsburys Ripon.

Carol commented: “It is always lovely to be able to reassure family members and friends of a person living with a condition such as dementia that there are options available to them when looking for care and support at home. Topics we discussed included the concepts of hourly help at home, full time live in care and short term respite care. We also discussed the importance of introducing support at home early so that if more regular care is ever needed it is an easy, seamless process.”

Carol added: “When it comes to providing care at home to older people in Harrogate and Ripon families and loved ones try to rally together, however it is all too often that professional help is only sought when things have reached crisis point. We are keen to ensure that families in Harrogate and Ripon are fully aware of their options and I pass my thanks onto the team at Harrogate District Hospital and Dawn and Janet of Sainburys Ripon for their support.”
