Harrogate Care Team Finalists for Great British Care Awards

Carefound Home Care is very proud to announce that three members of its professional home care team have been shortlisted as finalists for the Yorkshire and Humberside region of the Great British Care Awards.
Vicky Tate is a Senior Home Carer at Carefound Home Care and has been shortlisted for the Dementia Carer Award. Vicky has recently achieved a Level 2 Diploma in Dementia Care and has also become a Dementia Friends Champion with the Alzheimer’s Society for the Harrogate, Ripon and Wetherby area through which she is busy educating the local community about the condition. Vicky is trained in the Contented Dementia Trust’s specialist dementia care technique, the SPECAL method, and has been proven to provide exceptional levels of input to clients and families living with dementia.
Claire Spence is up for the Home Care Coordinator Award having been promoted to the role of Home Care Coordinator in 2014. Claire has recently achieved her Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care. She has also completed specialist training in complex conditions she helps her team manage including dementia, Parkinson’s and end-of-life care. Claire’s year was topped-off by Carefound Home Care becoming one of the only home care providers in the UK to be awarded an outstanding rating by the national regulator, the Care Quality Commmission (CQC), for which the company’s care management and coordination was highly praised.
Tina Langshaw has been picked out for the Home Care Worker Award having received an exceptional number of compliments from the elderly clients and families she supports. Tina recently received an Outstanding Achievement Award in recognition of going the extra mile for her clients and has been promoted to Senior Home Carer within the organisation. She is also working towards her Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care.
