Home Care and Dementia Care Specialist Creates 25 Jobs

A Harrogate-based company providing specialist home care and dementia care services to elderly people is set to create 25 jobs over the coming months as it begins a recruitment drive in Harrogate, Ripon and Wetherby. Oliver Stirk, who established and owns Carefound Home Care, has announced that after less than 2 years of operation the company is looking for 25 new caring individuals to join its professional home care team.

Oliver commented: “With an aging population and ever increasing pressures on health services, there is a growing need to help elderly people retain independence at home for longer. People are also now recognising the benefits of specialist care services, such as the support we provide to people withdementia, and the need for a more realistic ‘stay at home’ option where visits are not rushed and care is provided by professional home carers empowered with the skills they need to make a genuine difference to their clients’ daily lives. We have therefore seen demand for our services continue to rise and are seeking 25 new people to join our team over the next few months.”

“Although we are highly selective in our recruitment process (only 1 in 20 applicants are successful on average), our existing home carers come from a wide range of backgrounds and do not necessarily have prior professional caring experience – we are a friendly, supportive team and provide full training in all aspects of the care we provide, including specialist conditions such as dementia. If people are caring, compassionate and take pride in what they do we are keen to hear from them!”
