What Support Hourly Care Includes

From 1 hour a week through to full-time 24-hour care or night care our hourly care service includes the following (non-exhaustive) list of support options:

Basic Help in the Home

  • Preparing meals or snacks
  • Shopping for food and other household essentials
  • Collecting pensions, benefits and prescriptions
  • Paying bills
  • Washing and ironing
  • Bed making and changing
  • Light housework and errands
  • Organisational and administrative tasks

Companionship

  • Providing company and companionship
  • Accompanying / escorting clients to the shops and / or outside appointments
  • Help keeping in touch with family and friends
  • Pursuing hobbies and interests
  • Keeping pets
  • Help with arranging and pursuing travel

Personal Care

  • Assisting with dressing
  • Help with personal cleanliness (including washing, bathing and showering)
  • Help with lavatory needs (including incontinence care)
  • Help with eating or drinking (including monitoring diet and eating)
  • Grooming assistance (including hair care and shaving)
  • Assisting with mobility (including rising and retiring)

Medication Help

  • General monitoring of medication
  • Occasional reminders or manipulation of containers
  • Assistance with medication compliance aids
  • Administration of medication

Hospital to Home

  • Currently an in-patient in hospital, wishing to return home immediately after being discharged
  • Due to be admitted to hospital and will require support after having been discharged
  • In need of practical help or advice about returning home after leaving hospital
  • Already at home and in need of extra support following a recent stay in hospital
  • Post-operative rehabilitation
