Live-In Carers Enjoy Lunch in Harrogate

Thursday, 31st October 2019

Members of the live-in care team at Carefound Home Care recently got together to share experiences.

The live-in care team at Carefound Home Care provides 24-hour care at home to older people across Yorkshire and Cheshire. All members of the team are highly trained through the company’s professional carer training programme and the round-the-clock support they provide enables their clients to continue to live safely in their own home rather than being forced to move into a care home.

Being able to have such a positive impact on the quality of life of an older person means that the live-in carer role can be hugely rewarding. Nevertheless, it can also be challenging and so at Carefound Home Care we not only place great importance on appropriately matching our carers with our clients, but also providing extensive support to our professional carers.

Live-in carer lunches are an opportunity for live-in carers to get together and share experiences and best practice. They can also catch up with colleagues and their local care management team.

Julie Gray, Live-In Care Resource Manager at Carefound Home Care, said:

“It was fantastic to be able to share our thoughts and experiences of working in a live-in care setting and be able to spend time with some of the other professional carers – it made us all feel we were working as part of a team and that we are not on our own. Sharing best practice and ideas in a comfortable and calm environment is always invaluable.”
