Carefound Home Care Supports Parkinson’s Awareness Week 2016
Friday, 22nd April 2016
This year Parkinson’s Awareness Week is taking place from 18-24 April 2016 and is all about highlighting the small things that have a positive impact on the lives of people living with Parkinson’s.
Parkinson’s Awareness Week is a national annual event organised by the Parkinson’s UK charity to raise awarenss of the condition and help ensure that families know what help is available to them. Local people and organisations are encouraged to organise local events or activities which are listed here for 2016 in Yorkshire: Yorkshire Events.
People are being encouraged to post photos on Facebook and Twitter and tell the stories behind them about the small things that make a difference to living with Parkinson’s. This may be having a cup of tea with friends, joining a choir or even contacting somebody who has been really helpful.
Carefound Home Care supports families living with Parkinson’s through our hourly care at home and live-in care services. Importantly, our staff who support older people living with Parkinson’s receive specialist training in conjunction with Parkinson’s UK.
We wholly support Parkinson’s Awareness Week and are always available for families to talk through their individual situation and what type of help may be available.
