Raffle Raises Money for Harrogate Hospice

Wednesday, 15th February 2017

The Harrogate elderly care team at Carefound Home Care have organised a raffle to raise funds for local charity, Saint Michael’s Hospice.

Saint Michael’s Hospice help families in the Harrogate District affected by terminal illness to live as full a life as possible. They do this by providing hospice care and supporting people living with a terminal illness in their own homes.

Staff, clients and families of the Carefound Home Care team have donated prizes with over £100 of tickets sold and donated to the hospice. Lisa Morton, a member of the fundraising team at Saint Michael’s, attended the raffle draw at our offices today. Tickets were drawn by Gemma Lambert, a fantastic member of our Harrogate hourly home care team, who has seen first-hand the amazing support and care offered by Saint Michael’s.

Carol Giblin, Community & HR Coordinator at Carefound Home Care, commented:

“It’s always great to support our local charities, even in a small way, and this year we have been working closely with Saint Michael’s Hospice. Being a provider of specialist care at home services at Carefound Home Care we are very aware of the importance of this service and believe we are very lucky as a community to have Saint Michael’s Hospice in Harrogate.”

“We are hugely grateful for the kind donations of prizes from our team, clients and their families and look forward to presenting these to our winners!”
