A local company is celebrating winning three prestigious awards this month for the specialist home care and dementia care services it provides in North Yorkshire.

A local company is celebrating winning three prestigious awards this month for the specialist home careand dementia care services it provides in North Yorkshire.
Carla Hainsworth won the Care Newcomer Award with the judges saying: “Carla was a worthy winner – she had something very special in the way she talked about her role and the work she clearly enjoys. She had an enquiring, considered and caring approach which came over in a natural and respectful way.” Carla will now go on to represent her region at the national finals of the Great British Care Awards in London.The Carefound Home Care team recently attended the Yorkshire and Humberside Care Awards which are one of the regional schemes that make up the Great British Care Awards. The awards are supported by the Department of Health and recognise outstanding achievement in the care profession. The ceremony took place at the National Railway Museum, York with awards presented by celebrity guest, Christine Hamilton.
Jo Wood at the Great British Care Awards
Jo Wood won a finalist award in the Dementia Carer category. She was selected based on the excellent levels of support she provides to elderly clients living with dementia at home, plus her efforts in helping develop the company’s specialist dementia care service in collaboration with a leading dementia charity, the Contented Dementia Trust.
Carla Hainsworth & Sir Bob Murray at the Derwentside College Awards
Adding to her success, Carla Hainsworth also attended the Derwentside College Annual Achievement Awards where she was presented with the Award for Personal Achievement in Care by guest speaker, Sir Bob Murray. This was after having managed to complete a Diploma in Health and Social Care in only 9 months through the Carefound Home Care training scheme.
