Wilmslow Big Tea Party raises funds for local NHS hospitals
Monday, 10th July 2023
Carefound Home Care has hosted an NHS Big Tea Party to celebrate the 75th birthday of the NHS, raising over £225 for East Cheshire NHS Trust Charity.
The successful event saw local older people, family members, carers and members from the local community enjoy an afternoon of raffles, quizzes, and games in Wilmslow Parish Hall. There were plenty of winners and prizes, with lots of tea, cake and sandwiches enjoyed by all.
All the money raised goes to East Cheshire NHS Trust Charitable Fund (ECHO) which helps local NHS services go the extra mile in supporting patients across hospitals in Macclesfield, Knutsford and Congleton and those cared for in the community.
Sarah Vickers, Recruitment & Community Manager at Carefound Home Care in Wilmslow, said:
“At Carefound Home Care we work closely with NHS professionals every day and wanted to celebrate 75 years of the NHS whilst also raising vital funds to support local NHS charities in Cheshire East.”
“It was a really fun day and fabulous to bring people together – a highlight was definitely announcing the winner of guessing how many tea bags were in the teapot!”
“We raised over £225 for ECHO and want to say a big thank you to all those who baked cakes, gave raffle prizes or donated money.”
Lily Preston, Fundraising and Events Manager at East Cheshire NHS Trust, said:
“Thank you to Sarah and everyone at Carefound Home Care for organising such a brilliant event and thank you to everyone who took part and donated. It’s so lovely to see the local community getting together to support our local NHS charity and celebrate 75 years of the NHS.”
