Wilmslow home care staff get egg-cited for Easter
Tuesday, 12th April 2022
A home care company based in Wilmslow has been going the extra mile to celebrate Easter with older people they support in the local area.
The team from Carefound Home Care is once again spending the days leading up to Easter delivering chocolate eggs and reminiscing with their elderly clients living in Wilmslow, Alderley Edge, Knutsford and Macclesfield.
Katie Brennan, Registered Branch Manager at Carefound Home Care in Wilmslow, said:
“It’s been a pleasure for our team to deliver eggs to our clients and their families and see the smiles it has brought to their faces.”
“The risks of isolation and loneliness have increased dramatically since the pandemic and taking the time to celebrate important events like Easter really can make a difference.”
“We’ve also loved being able to treat our staff with chocolate eggs this year who do such an amazing job in changing the lives of our clients by helping them to continue to live safely at home.”
Mrs Evans, a client of Carefound Home Care in Wilmslow, enjoyed reminiscing about Easter with her carer:
“For me Easter is all about being amongst family and appreciating loved ones. I remember when I was young that all the local churches and chapels would come together and sing hymns. The children would also play chase outside and then the Mums would all bring a plate of food and distribute it fairly amongst the children. They would all get a mini chocolate egg, but nowt like these days!”
