Ripley Show 2023
Tuesday, 22nd August 2023
Our local branch attended the Ripley Show near Harrogate last week with our resident bear helping raise money for Dementia Forward.

Danni and Carla from our Harrogate branch had a great time at the Ripley Show on Sunday, 13th August.
The Ripley Show is a traditional village show held at Ripley Castle Park near Harrogate. It has classes including cattle, sheep, fleeces, horses and ponies, heavy horses and driving classes. There are also farm produce, baking, wine, honey and craft classes, plus a load of attractions for all the family such as Shetland pony racing, a sheep show, a fun dog show, terrier racing, giant tortoises, heavy horses, hound parade and vintage cars and tractors.
Our team held an information stand at the show for local families and visitors to learn about our home care services in Harrogate and discuss the various care options available to them or their loved ones. The day was also a great opportunity to chat with people about the career opportunities we offer and what it’s like to work as a care assistant.
The stand also enabled our team to raise awareness of local charity, Dementia Forward, who support people living with dementia and their families. Our resident bear, Trevor, helped us deliver a ‘Bear Bingo’ with people paying a pound to pick a number and guess his name. Over £100 was raised for Dementia Forward and we’d like to say a massive thank you to everybody who donated!
To speak with our Harrogate team about your care options or to apply for a job call 01423 774070. You can also learn more about Dementia Forward here.
See you at next year’s Ripley Show which will be held on Sunday, 11th August 2024!
