Carer’s calendar raises over £2,000 for the MND Association
Sunday, 08th June 2025
Carefound Home Care Wilmslow and their client, Judy Hill, have raised over £2,000 to support people living with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and those who care for them.

Judy is living with motor neurone disease and receives live-in care from Carefound Home Care to help her live safely at home in Mottram St Andrew. Together with her dedicated care professionals, Yvonne and Massey, Judy brought a heartfelt idea to life to raise money for the MND Association, a calendar celebrating her passion for cooking.
Drawing on a lifelong love of baking, Judy selected twelve cherished recipes, some dating back as far as 1904 from her original family recipe books. Each recipe became a feature of the calendar, which was designed and produced with Sarah Vickers, Recruitment & Community Manager at Carefound Home Care Wilmslow.
Supporters could get a copy of the calendar by donating to the MND Association through Judy’s JustGiving page.
Judy expressed her excitement about the project, stating:
“It has been great fun creating the calendars and deciding on the recipes. Watching the money increase each day on our JustGiving page was exciting, as it’s such a great cause to raise money for.”
“There have been many compliments from those who bought the calendars, saying how lovely our recipes were, making it even more worthwhile.”
To date, over 400 calendars have been sold and distributed across the UK raising a total of £2,227 including gift aid.
Julia Beales, Community Fundraising Product Manager at the MND Association, said:
“We are so grateful to Judy and the team at Carefound Home Care for helping to raise awareness of MND and vital funds through the sale of their calendar.”
“To raise £2,000 is an incredible achievement. Every donation helps us to improve care and support for people living with MND and their families while also funding important research which gives us all the greatest hope for the future.”
