Carefound Home Care Celebrate Christmas with Older People and their Carers

Tuesday, 24th December 2019

Carefound Home Care has delivered over 250 Christmas cards and mince pies to clients and their carers across Yorkshire and Cheshire.

Age UK estimate that more than 1 million older people will feel lonely this Christmas and 330,000 older people aren’t looking forward to Christmas Day because they’ll spend it alone.

Carefound Home Care provide highly personalised care at home to older people in Yorkshire and Cheshire. Over the last week they have taken the time celebrate Christmas with their clients and care staff by sharing Christmas cards and mince pies.

Carol Sherwood and Sarah Vickers are Recruitment & Community Managers in the Harrogate and Wilmslow offices of Carefound Home Care and led the efforts. They said:

“Christmas is a wonderful time of year and it’s always a delight to visit our clients to deliver Christmas cheer and gifts. Loneliness is a hugely important issue during the festive season and just taking the time to catch-up and share stories can be so valuable.”

“It’s also been great to be able to celebrate with our amazing care teams who work so hard to improve the lives of our older clients in Yorkshire and Cheshire.”
