Live-in carer receives award for providing dementia care at home

Charmaine Chinouya has won Carefound Home Care’s PLATO award for supporting her client living with complex dementia needs.

Charmaine Chinouya is a live-in carer at Carefound Home Care in Harrogate and has been voted the winner of the company’s prestigious PLATO award. She received the award in recognition of her going above and beyond in providing live-in care to her client living with complex dementia and presenting with challenging behaviours. This included supporting her client with exercise and calming actions, which resulted in positive outcomes.
Carefound Home Care’s PLATO award involves staff from the whole company voting on the best examples of colleagues demonstrating our company values – Personalised, Local, Accountable, Together and Outstanding. The winner receives public recognition and £100 in gift vouchers.
