Carefound Home Care, a local home care company, has ended another year by delivering dozens of Christmas treats to elderly people in the Harrogate, Ripon and Wetherby area.

Members of the Carefound Home Care Team

Members of the company’s specialist home care and dementia care team have been taking mince pies and Christmas cards to each of their elderly clients in the community, giving them the opportunity to celebrate the festive season with the individuals and families they spend so much time with during the year.

Oliver Stirk, Director, commented: “It is always a lovely surprise for our clients to receive gifts at Christmas and our team love having the chance to enjoy the festive period with them. Isolation and loneliness can be very real issues for elderly people at this time of year and efforts such these are extremely valuable in fighting them.”

Oliver added: “This has been a hugely successful year for us at Carefound Home Care – we have won three separate awards for the specialist services we provide and are due to attend the national finals of the Great British Care Awards in London in March 2014. Having cemented our position as a leading provider of home care and dementia care services in North Yorkshire we are very excited about continuing to develop our unique team in 2014. In particular, we will not only be expanding the hourly support we provide to elderly people but also our unique weekly live-in care service.
