‘Kick4Parkinsons’ is being organised by the Wilmslow branch of Carefound Home Care to raise money for Parkinson’s UK, and is inviting the local community along.

The event will see their team of carers taking on Macclesfield Ladies Football Club on the brand new 4G pitch at Macclesfield FC. There’ll be food and drinks available to purchase at the club bar as well as an exciting raffle with special prizes from Manchester United FC, Macclesfield FC, and local businesses who have donated.

Sarah Vickers, Recruitment & Community Manager at Carefound Home Care in Wilmslow, said:

“We’re really excited to be bringing the local community together at Kick4Parkinsons in aid of Parkinson’s UK. The day promises to be filled with fun and laughter and our carers have been pushing themselves to prepare for the match.”

“At Carefound Home Care we have cared for many families affected by Parkinson’s and we’re proud to be supporting such an important charity. Hopefully we can bring as many people together as possible to raise money and awareness for Parkinson’s UK.”

Kick4Parkinsons is set to take place on Sunday, 14th July 2024 at the Leasing.com Stadium, the home of Macclesfield FC. Everybody’s welcome and the gates will open at 12.30pm with the 1-hour match scheduled to kick-off at 1.30pm.

All money raised will go to Parkinson’s UK, and Carefound Home Care are kindly requesting a minimum donation of £5 for tickets. You can do this at the gate on the day or by contacting their team at wilmslow@carefound.co.uk or on 01625 326470.

Kirsty Berrigan and Rebecca Landolt, Heads of Community Fundraising at Parkinson’s UK, said:

“We are so grateful to Carefound Home Care for organising Kick4Parkinsons for Parkinson’s UK.”

“With more than 40 potential symptoms, Parkinson’s can devastate lives. We’ve made huge breakthroughs in the last 50 years, but there is still no cure and current treatments are not good enough.”

“We hope that this fundraising event inspires you to get involved with Parkinson’s UK. There are lots of ways for you to get involved and support us – from volunteering at an event, to campaigning for better services. Without the generosity of people like you, our work would not be possible.”
