At Carefound Home Care we have a clear pricing policy so that you are able to easily understand and compare the costs of live-in care.
If you are exploring the cost of live-in care it is important to remember that residential care or a care home is not the only option. Live-in care can be an affordable alternative, allowing you to remain in the comfort and familiarity of your own home.
Our live-in care costs are based on a weekly inclusive price following a free assessment of your care needs in your own home.
How much does live-in care cost?
The cost of our live-in care depends on the level of support that you need, and whether it is for an individual or a couple.
Single person care
Full-time live-in care enabling an individual person to remain in the comfort of their own home, rather than moving into residential care.
From £1,750 per week
Couples care
Enables couples to remain together with the support of a dedicated live-in care professional, rather than paying for two beds in a care home.
From £2,150 per week
Additional costs
Food to a value of £45 a week for your live-in care professional, which can be included in your weekly shop or added to your invoice.
Excursions where your live-in care professional uses their own car and accompanies you on a trip out or carries out a trip for you (e.g. to the shops) are charged at 70p per mile.
Bank Holidays are charged at double time, and four additional days over Christmas and New Year are charged at time and a half, supporting our live-in care professionals to continue to work on these days.

Cost of live-in care FAQs
Is VAT included in the cost of live-in care?
Our live-in care services are not subject to VAT and so there are no additional VAT charges on top of our prices.
Is there a fee for assessing my care needs?
There is no fee for our local care management team carrying out an initial assessment of your care needs. However, we do charge a short term assessment fee in the event that your care service is to be delivered for 4 weeks or less.
Can I pause or cancel my care?
Yes - we simply ask for 14 days notice. This enables us to manage our live-in care professionals' routines and ensure a planned, effective transition for the client.
Is there a cooling off period?
You can change your mind and immediately cancel at any time within the first 14 days of signing your care agreement. If we have already begun providing the services, your only charges will be a short term care assessment fee of £200 and the fees for any care already provided. After the first 14 days, we simply need 14 days’ notice to cancel.
