The event took place at the Leasing.com Stadium on Sunday 5th July, with staff from Carefound Home Care Wilmslow taking on a team of nurses from Macclesfield District General Hospital.

The friendly but competitive match was won 4-2 by the nurses from Macclesfield District General Hospital, and over 100 people came to watch including colleagues, clients, families and members of the local community. The Mayor of Macclesfield, Cllr James Barber-Chadwick, was also in attendance to show his support for the event and the fundraising efforts.

Of course, the real winner on the day was East Cheshire NHS Charity with over £1,500 raised through ticket sales and a charity raffle. Prizes were generously donated by a range of local businesses including The Rex Wilmslow, Hickory’s Smokehouse, Champneys, Avro Golf Club, Storm Brewing, Macclesfield FC and Lancashire Cricket Club.

“Thank you so much to Carefound Home Care for organising such a brilliant event, we’re so grateful for their continued support of East Cheshire NHS Charity.”

“It was great to see care professionals and East Cheshire NHS staff come together at the football match and raise such a brilliant amount for our local NHS.”
