6 Simple Steps

We welcome job applications from people with no professional experience through to those with many years of experience in specialist areas such as nursing. The key to being successful is your ability to demonstrate that you are caring, compassionate, motivated and capable of delivering an excellent level of care to older people in their own homes.

1. Application form

Apply for your job role online. If you don’t have any professional care experience we’re always happy to hear about experiences you may have had with family or friends.

2. Telephone interview

If your application meets our recruitment criteria we’ll contact you within a few days to arrange a short telephone interview. This enables us to learn more about you and your background and, importantly, offers a chance for you to ask any questions you may have about working for our outstanding team.

3. Interview

Next, we’ll invite you to a face-to-face interview at your local office or over video call if your prefer. You’ll meet at least two members of our care management team and get a proper insight into Carefound Home Care. Prior to interview, we’ll ask you to complete our full online Employment Application Form.

4. Pre-employment checks

If you’re successful at interview we’ll provide you with a formal job offer. Once you accept this we’ll carry out pre-employment checks using our online screening app which includes contacting your references (two professional and one personal) and carrying out an enhanced check with the Disclosure and Baring Service (DBS). We will also request that you bring copies of your ID documentation to the first day of your induction.

5. Induction training

All new members of our team complete a 4-day induction training course which comprises 3 days of face-to-face training online over video call, 1 day of face-to-face training at your local branch, plus some online e-learning to evidence your knowledge. This is delivered by our in-house training team covering everything from the basic health and social care qualification – The Care Certificate – to specialist areas such as medication management, moving & handling, dementia and Parkinson’s.

6. Shadowing

You’ll shadow existing members of our team in the community to enable you to put your learning into practice and demonstrate that you are competent to work alone. Following this, you’ll attend a safe to leave meeting with your Registered Branch Manager where all of your training assessments and evidence is reviewed and signed-off and you’ll be awarded your training certificates.
